The mixed development consists of apartment buildings and 3 storey townhouses on a sloping former Victorian industrial site within a semi-rural area of Bolton.
The new contemporary residential buildings pay homage to the existing robust mill buildings and are expressed as simple rectangular blocks with duo-pitched slate roofs. The elevations are principally in stone with deep set vertically proportioned openings. Inset balconies provided to the apartments via vertical slots emulate the warehouse loading bays whilst generous terraces and private gardens to the houses take full advantage of the picturesque setting.
